Multi-Sport Court
High Point Parks & Recreation, the United Way of Greater High Point, and High Point LEAP were awarded a KaBOOM! grant for one court, funded by the Newell Brands Charitable Foundation. The planning process involved additional community partners who recruited volunteers, handled logistics and raised additional funding to complete the second court and several additional projects. Youth from the Southside area chose what sports they would like the court to including during a Design Day held a few months before the court was installed.
More than 75 volunteers from across High Point worked together to transform two older basketball courts into a flexible 10,000 square foot KaBoom! Multi-Sport Court, upon which our community's children can play soccer, basketball, hockey, pickleball, futsal and more.
