Eastchester & I-74 Land Use Assessment City Council Public Hearing Scheduled
The City of High Point Planning and Development Department conducted a land use assessment of the new Eastchester and I-74 interchange. The interchange is being expanded to alleviate congestion along Eastchester and on the exit ramps of I-74. The expansion includes the addition of exit loops and the elimination of left turns on the Eastchester overpass. A public hearing was held by the Planning and Zoning Commission on February 23, 2021 and March 23, 2021 and they favorably recommended adoption of the assessment to the City Council. The public hearing draft of the assessment is available for review on the city's website at www.highpointnc.gov/landuseassessments.
