    Join Dr. Claire Heckel and HPPL's Heritage Research Center for an overview of the Digital Library on American Slavery's "People Not Property: Slave Deeds of North Carolina." Resources in the DLAS provide insights into African American histories and experiences. "People Not Property" is a community effort powered by volunteer researchers, and this talk will also show attendees how volunteering with the project works and how to get involved.
